Financial Analyst

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Salary up to: RM4.5K

Contract : 6 Months

Job Summary  

  • The analyst is responsible for all account payable administrative functions including processing of invoices, matching purchase orders, entering invoices into SAP and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

About your role:

  • Perform daily operation of invoice entry and ensure accurate recording in SAP.
  • Ensure vendor invoices, debit and credit memos are processed and paid for in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolutions of invoice on hold, open GR/IR (good-receipt/invoice -receipt) cleaning account and follow up on the status.
  • Perform monthly supplier reconciliations and reconcile monthly supplier statements.
  • Monitor monthly intercompany balances, ensuring all intercompany balances are paid according to the established terms.
  • Ensuring all practices are aligned with internal control processes and SOX compliance.
  • Assist with month-end processes in accordance with the timetable defined.
  • Achieve agreed KPI associated with invoice processing or any other related AP activities.
  • Handle critical queries and provide accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Ad hoc functions are required by the reporting manager.

Criteria to meet:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA Australia/ICAEW/MIA) will be an additional advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years related working experience in AP
  • Sound knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices and procedures required.
  • Must be PC proficient and able to there in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with SAP is a must.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Work
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required to ensure the completion of daily tasks and workload assigned.
  • Ability to produce work to high standards, always paying meticulous attention to detail.
  • Possess initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good written and spoke English and Bahasa Malaysia
