Business Development Manager (Building Material)

Responsibilities:

Market Research and Business Development Planning

  • Research and analyze industry and competitive trends to identify emerging market opportunities and strategic areas of interest.
  • Develop strategic plans to develop the identified market opportunities, including developing forecasting, budgets and implementation plans for projects.
  • Present and validate opportunities / plans with senior management to refine and garner organizational support.

Opportunity and Account Management

  • Pursue identified opportunities by establishing contact with target / potential partner, marketing the value proposition, and working directly to develop and execute a mutually beneficial partnership model.
  • Continue to develop the relationship and have medium to long-range plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with the defined group of partners.
  • Coordinate internal departments to resolve problems and ensuring partners receive high quality customer service to refine and improve their business model and partnership with Knauf.
  • Help in the roll out of industry campaigns by partners, driving partners to create their own marketing campaigns and mentoring partners’ sales / marketing teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • 3-4 years in a business development role or capacity.
  • High commercial awareness and strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and networking ability.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Willing to travel extensively within Malaysia
