About your new role:
- Financial Record Keeping:
 - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
 - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
 - Able to do consolidation between holding company & subsidiaries.
 - Bookkeeping:
 - Record day-to-day financial transactions.
 - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
 - Financial Reporting:
 - Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
 - Generate reports for management to support decision-making.
 - Tax Compliance:
 - Assist in preparing and filing corporate tax returns.
 - Ensure compliance with Singapore tax regulations.
 - Budgeting and Forecasting:
 - Contribute to the budgeting process.
 - Assist in financial forecasting and variance analysis.
 - Audit Support:
 - Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
 - Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
 - Month-End and Year-End Close:
 - Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
 - Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
 - Cash Management:
 - Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
 - Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
 - Financial Analysis:
 - Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
 - Identify trends and provide insights into financial performance.
 - Compliance Monitoring:
 - Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
 - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
 
- Expense Management:
 - Track and analyze company expenses.
 - Implement cost control measures where necessary.
 - Payroll Processing:
 - Assist in payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
 - Address payroll-related inquiries from employees.
 - System and Process Improvement:
 - Identify opportunities for process improvement.
 - Contribute to the implementation of new financial systems or upgrades.
 - Communication and Collaboration:
 - Collaborate with other departments on financial matters.
 - Communicate financial information effectively to relevant stakeholders.
 - Ad Hoc Financial Projects:
 - Contribute to special financial projects as assigned.
 - Provide support for strategic financial initiatives.
 
Criteria to Meet:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
 - Professional certification (CPA, CA, CMA) is a plus.
 - 5 or more years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
 - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
 - Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
