Job Description
The incumbent main responsibilities are:
- To provide financial analysis, information and expertise in relation to accounts and finance practices and fulfilling all legal and statutory requirements when carrying out such activities.
- To ensure an accurate and timely flow of financial information between the division and the corporate holding company which provides for the specific accounting needs of both.
- To implement new and up-to-date procedures, standards and computerized accounting systems with the objective to upgrade and improve the department’s performance.
- To ensure effective tax planning is practised.
- To prepare accurate and timely Monthly Management Reports and Financial Statements.
- To ensure the Monthly Management Reports and Financial Statements conform with accepted accounting standards and principles.
- To maintain sound credit control and to manage proper cash flow and funds management for the division.
- To continually review for, monitor and implement where necessary, a strong system of operational and financial controls.
- To liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents and other external related parties.
- To identify and provide training and development to Accounts Department personnel.
- To develop a departmental budget, and track expenditures, actual financial performance and targets.
- To provide forecasting, cash flow, revenues and expenses.
- To determine needs and gather, analyse and present data to provide accurate information for management’s use.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / ACCA / MACPA
- The incumbent should have at least a minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Possesses good analytical, prepare, checking and balancing routine fiscal transactions and accounts.
- A steady personality, knowledgeable in supervisory and management techniques.
- Able to initiate the internal control systems used for general accounting principles, the concepts of review and evaluation of internal control systems.
- Possess a balance in confidentiality and transparency and neutral in executing and supervising company policy and procedures.
