Regional Events & Recognition Manager

Team Size : Oversee 5 Event Specialists in APAC

Reporting to : Regional VP

Salary : Pays up to RM16,000 basic salary

Countries to manage: Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore

Objectives of this role:

1. Manage the strategic planning of events and recognition initiatives in each market in APAC.

  • Streamline the current practices across APAC and Identify gaps within the current practices. Develop and introduce guidelines across APAC to close the gaps.
  • Work closely with the respective Country Managers to gather performance reports, monitor event budget and expenditures, and evaluate program effectiveness.

Lead and manage the major events:

  • Supporting Role/Sub-Project PIC for Global Convention in the US,
  • Project PIC for Regional Incentive Trips (once or twice a year)

Your new roles and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Country Managers on the development of effective recognition and events strategies in the respective countries.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement recognition related activities eg. rallies / seminars / conventions / Incentive trips/ special meetings and other corporate events. This will include traveling to overseas to organize events and assist in business builders’ activities.
  • Part of the Global Events Team to keep abreast of the latest development of events and initiatives from the global team.
  • Develop and implement event plans and concepts
  • Manage event budgets and payments
  • Main liaison for vendor services and sponsorships
  • Main liaison to obtain event permits
  • Oversees the on-ground execution of programs and logistics arrangements
  • Work with multiple teams to executive event branding and communication
  • Develop Event Feedback Surveys to gather participants’ feedback for improvement
  • Conduct Event Post-Mortem to conclude event and reporting
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.

Criteria to meet:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma or, Professional Degree in any field
  • Has sales & marketing experience from MNC, FMCG, and Direct Selling/Network Marketing Organizations. Experience in managing recognition and convention events is a plus
  • A great team player and mentor

  • Proactive with strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent marketing, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Project management experience
