You will play a role of a Senior Finance Manager, leading the company’s overall accounting and financial management and planning activities, which include reporting and analysing of company’s earnings, expenses and overall financial position.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
- Review and monitor OPEX and CAPEX spending and flag any material risks or deviations;
- Play a key role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning process;
- Support sales and marketing in their deal assessment, commercial estimation and investment justification;
- Understand BNM regulatory and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance throughout;
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation;
- Handle full sets of accounts which cover General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables;
- Prepare monthly & quarterly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements, as well as investor reporting;
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, group tax, group account, bankers and local authorities such as the Inland Revenue Board and licensing departments;
- Evaluate the need for new technology to meet the organization’s financial data processing, control, and reporting requirements
- Drive post-close analysis such as portfolio and P&L variance analysis to understand trends, risks and opportunities in the current market;
- Ensure appropriate process and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions;
- Responsible for developing suitable financial and operating procedures to improve the operational efficiency of the business unit;
- Proactively monitor project execution to effectively identify risks, issues, and dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle;
- Demonstrate effective financial skills to develop a detailed business case, including investments, detailed benefits and link to the overall finances of the business;
- Provide timely reports on project status, risks and issues, evaluating project performance based on management information;
- Develop financial models & analyses to support strategic initiatives and investment opportunities;
Requirements:
- A chartered accountant or any equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 8 years experience in finance & accounting, with at least 2 years in a similar capacity
- Knowledge of Internal Control & Investor functions (taxation, accounts, budgetary control, internal audit, compliance)
- Sound knowledge in financial analysis
- Good stakeholder management skills
