MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product strategy and value propositions
- Devise and maintain an appropriate product strategy that is aligned to the company’s strategic objectives.
- The strategies should be based on customer and stakeholder needs, market trends and regulatory developments.
- Working with stakeholders to determine suitable client and partnership value propositions.
- Product Design & Development
- Drive product innovation within the team.
- Proactively conceptualise and craft product ideas and holistic customer solutions, which involve working with external partners
- Applying a collaborative approach with stakeholders to define product designs and client solutions and supportive processes
- Engage with stakeholders and management to position product ideas.
- Design new products to achieve internal profitability targets.
- Work with underwriters and/or reinsurers to incorporate appropriate underwriting rules as required by the type of product.
- Developing detailed specifications defining product and process designs.
- Developing and drafting policy documents, including contracts in conjunction with Legal and regulatory requirements.
- Presentation of product solutions to management committees to obtain approvals in line with governance frameworks.
- To liaise with the system development teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth launching of products.
- Support for New Business Growth
- Support the new business and profitability targets through new products or redesigns.
- Provide support for ideating and implementation of campaigns to generate new business.
