Client background: US-based skincare & wellness product distributor with a global presence
Responsibilities:
- Independently plan, execute, and deliver high-quality risk-based assurance engagements, investigations, or special projects.
- Team lead in some assurance engagements.
- Develop and improve engagement work program to achieve engagement objectives by identifying, analysing, evaluating, and documenting engagement information.
- Identify root causes of control issues to develop a value-added recommendations to process owners and management.
- Create and organize an effective written internal audit report.
- Assist in identifying fraud risks in the area or process under review.
- Mastering key company policies that Internal Audit provides assurance on.
- Consistently seeks opportunities to support objectives through individual and team efforts.
- Consistently takes personal responsibility for the success of mentored team members.
- Proactively provide guidance to team members with minimal management direction.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in finance/BA/or any relevant field
- Qualification or CPA / CIA / CISA or other relevant certification.
- Min. 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit with an established internal audit function and/ or professional services firm.
- Experience with US and local GAAP accounting rules, the Sarbanes Oxley Act 0f 2002, FCPA compliance, general Business Processes and IT auditing and testing of key financial controls.
- Good interpersonal and communication (in both English and Chinese or other Asian languages) skills.
- Ability to ask the right questions and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exhibit professional scepticism, meticulousness and a keen eye for details.
- Self-motivated shows initiative and is well organized to meet work deadlines.
- Knowledge of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
- Understanding of risk management and internal control concepts/framework (e.g. COSO).
- Willing to travel, within Asia (Moderate travelling)
