About your role:
- To lead in the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Supply Chain Strategies toward achieving company Volume Point and Operating Margin targets. This involves the development of a Supply Chain plan, within approved budget, to improve operational process, controls, quality, compliance and relevant supply chain initiatives to ensure smooth operational continuity.
- To closely engage, monitor and manage 3rd party vendors who provide complementary services in delivering highest member experience.
- To lead in inventory management, ensure optimal stockholding, timely replenishment from source, timely replenishment to all distribution centers and member access points.
- Minimize obsolete or unsaleable inventory risks by working closely with Sales and Marketing, highlighting to the General Manager where required, to ensure optimal inventory turn.
- To lead in supply chain audits, stock counts and cycle counts. Ensure compliance to quality, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Ensure all member fronting order pick up counters are optimally managed to deliver highest member satisfaction experience.
- To support the success of key company initiatives, eg Nutrition Clubs/Member Activation Program/etc, to develop strong business foundation
- To participate, support and lead where relevant to ensure the optimal success of key local events and where required support regional events.
- To lead, motivate, coach and develop the supply chain team members to bring out their best potential and grow with the organization
- To continuously be abreast, explore advancements and provide recommendations to the management in adopting improved supply chain skills, technology or training to improve team effectiveness. Recommendations should include objectives, investment requirement and measurement metrics.
- Key liaison with regional Supply Chain team in understanding global or regional directions. To localize initiatives, eg translation, where applicable to ensure optimal outcome.
- To support the General Manager on assigned tasks from time to time
Criteria to meet:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain
- At least min of 15 years working experience , with 10-12 years as a management role in Distribution / Warehouse Operations (Experience in Training would be an added benefit)
- Strong leadership skills, ability to lead team members remotely & effectively
- Strong knowledge in warehouse operations, 3PL management & inventory control (Experience in MLM or FMCG industry would be an added benefit)
- Strong project management skills, PMP (Project Management Professional) would be preferred
- Strong facilitating skills including host & facilitate meetings, trainings & workshops
- Strong technology background & computer skills including knowledge of ERP, Business Intelligence systems & training systems
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels with excellent communication & organization skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change as the external environment and organization evolves.
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision.
